We won!! (SNUG homes aka Modulhus)

Ecomotive and Barton Willmore have been announced as the winners of NaCSBA’s 2016 Self Build on a Shoestring competition with their design entry titled Modulhus.

Ecomotive’s Jackson Moulding and Barton Willmore’s Alex Dutton stepped up on stage to receive the cheque for £5,000 from judges Michael Holmes and Charlie Luxton.

Amidst much anticipation, the results were announced on 20th October at the Grand Designs Live exhibition at the NEC.

Our entry received praise from the judges – “A lot of house with a lot of thought for the long term delivery” summed it up.

The prize gives Ecomotive the perfect springboard from which to start the construction of its prototype Modulhus aka SNUG home. It’s hoped that the first home will be ready to install on site in Bristol in spring 2017.
