Co-Housing Conference 2 Years, 1 Month ago Karma: 0
Hwllo All,

Is anyone going to the Co-Housing conference in London this Saturday (24th April 2010)?

There's also a "Getting it built" workshop on Sunday (25th April 2010)

For further details see www.cohousing.org.uk

If you're going, or know someone who is, perhaps transport could be co-ordinated?

Best, Neil.

Follow up...

The conference was very good and presented some very useful tips on avoiding the pitfalls of creating a co-housing project. Organisation, process and realism are key components to success.

It has renewed my inspiration to create one in Bristol. Who's up for that? If you are then please contact me.

Neil.

Hi Neil

Thanks for your input on the cohousing conference in London.

Did you know that there already exists a Bristol Co-housing group.
Check out www.cohousingbristol.org.uk

We are currently in the process of establishing a Bristol Community Land Trust (CLT), which you might be interested in. There is scope that you could set up a co-housing arrangement on one of the future CLT sites.

We will be at the St Werburghs Farm Fair on the 12th June if you are around that weekend.
Cheers
Jackson

Hi there,

A little bird told me that ecomotive seems to have found some land to build in
Bristol... I hope so...

I am looking to buy a first home (in the traditional mortgage slave your life and your potential grandchildren way!!!) but its becoming a very hard experience.

Any possibilities for a hands on individual like me!!!???

Best regards to all!

Hi Romero

Will let you know info in due course. We will send out to all forum members once we have gone over the considerations for the site, whether self build or self finish. With a clearer idea on associated costs. Nice one. Jackson
