Information on Sustainable and Affordable Self Build Homes.

Are you looking to build a sustainable home, and are you looking for land at a reasonable price?

This site aims to provide the opportunities for people to find other people in their area who are also interested in building a sustainable home.  There are many benefits of building together, particularly in acquiring land but also in bulk purchase and skill sharing….and eventually in creating strong communities.

Also if you own a piece of land or know of a derelict site that could be used to create one or more sustainable homes then please let us at Ecomotive know or post info on the forum for others to see. (you can register free on the forum page to use the forum)

We are looking into the various ways that land can be provided keeping the costs as low as possible, such as shared equity and common hold schemes.  If you are aware of any mechanisms which have a proven track record of working well please let us know or post on the forum.  Also, if you know of any interesting developments which are both of low cost and built sustainably please send us contact details or a weblink, so others can be made aware of the good examples.
